SUMMER IN THE SUN IN PRAISE OF VINTAGE STYLE

A sunny summers Sunday at the palace. No not hers, Sorry Ma'am! Maybe next time.
No that other palace up on the hill in North London with all the radio masts.
The one by the name of Alexandra, captured our interest as it was the venue
for some vintage style. The first of the many venues showcasing the hugely
popular vintage fashion scene. Something you know i've been a part of for more than
15 years as a serious collector. But as you know this blog is never about me.
That's why the use of we is frequently used, because it's all about you, and in
the context it should be used. In praise of your style and in celebration of your
expressive individuality.

So vintage style is what we celebrate in this post early September, ahead of
the LFW season, a celebration of summer style in London, with fashion that is
tried and tested and here to stay.
Vintage style doesn't die. It gets a chance to play and have fun touching our
lives with its history. Pre loved. You'll here these words used more these days
because its very true. Items that are Vintage are just that. Pre Loved because
unlike today with fast fashion and consumerism, perviously, fine fashion clothing
was made with love. Something any vintage fashion loving fan can tell you is true,
because you feel it. We hope you feel that love in these images
we captured just for you. Enjoy.

Two of our faves, the lovely Shion Oshikawa with that amazing smile of hers,
and her sidekick in blue denim Mick both from Japan with their signature vintage style
Here are two lovely young fans of UK vintage style, and they hail all the way
from South Korea. Sisters and Artists Gayon and Gabin Lee.
Gayon (L) wears a hair piece from road shop, cardigan, gloves all vintage,
her back-pack from Skinny Dip, jeans by road shop and Shoes by Reebok

Gabin(R) wears earrings and necklaces-Made by herself, with a red coat by Burberry
that she customised with flies on the collar, jeans knitted sweater from an oline shop,
shoes by Adidas and a bag by Skinny Dip
We love how this woman rocks her Cheongsam / Qipao dress
Why hide when you can simply stride. When in the sun, it has to be done.
